We will meet at The Empowerment Factory and begin by walking for about a mile or 30 minutes, then we will gather to The Empowerment Factory’s studio, to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some snacks.
If the weather allows we will walk outside on the Bladwin Loop, if the weather is cold or rainy we will walk inside the hallways of the Hope Artiste Village – an historic renovated mill building with a bustling community and expansive hallways. While it may be cold outside, the temperatures will be just right for walking inside.
This event will:
– Launch a community initiative, which brings people together
– Start the discussion about how to expand this to walking clubs for Seniors, professionals, youth and their families
– Develop a networking community of individuals interested in building healthier lifestyles.
The Hope Artist Village includes retail shops, art studios and galleries, a bakery, a coffee roaster, The Rhode Island Hall of Fame, and an old fashioned bowling alley.
