In this class you will:
- Get a short introduction on “What is mindfulness?”
- Have a guided meditation for 10 minutes
- Then you will have time to explore for yourself mindful creativity, with playful art activities.

Recharge your creativity with mindfully inspired arts and craft activities. Playful creative activities for beginners and experienced artists alike. In this workshop we will explore mindfulness by drawing with crayons and watercolors to make inspired drawings from the heart of creativity.
We will begin with a guided mindfulness practice using images of nature and a selection of meditative music followed by simple artistic expression, letting color and form come through from deep within and create without preconception as a way of encouraging a mindful approach to creativity.
These activities are know to reduce stress and increase wellbeing.
Erika Scilipoti Nichols, PhD
Erika is the founder of Nature’s Atelier, a line of products that inspire a mindful connection with nature. She is interested in visual arts and contemplative practices and has developed and taught courses and workshops that focus on the contemplative states of mind and the creative experience through arts and craft activities. With Nature’s Atelier she wishes to bring awareness to the restorative effects that natural environments have on all of us, offering relaxation, improving our mood and cognitive functions, and stimulating our creativity.
